Hello my friends! I'm back! We finally got our internet fixed but with a sick little one and lots of projects for my sister-in-laws baby shower last Saturday I was away from the computer. So happy to be back and feeling connected to my blog and all of you again! Last week was another amazing week of projects! I really enjoy looking at each project and it's so hard for me to choose my favorites! Every week I have a huge list and have to narrow it down! You all are very talented and I'm so lucky to be a part of this link party and be inspired by you each week! So THANK YOU! Here are a few of my favorites! Enjoy!

I'm dying over this beautiful bedroom from Crafty Scrappy Happy! This makes me want to change my ideas for my master bedroom makeover! Shhhh...don't tell my hubs! It's so peaceful and relaxing!

This coffee table from Watch Me Daddy is beautiful! You have to go check out Amy and her blog! She is not only amazing and inspiring, but is seriously talented and a good friend!

I love the idea of using old books or newspapers as wall coverings. Knick of Time used an old dictionary and it turned out and I love how it turned out!

Here's another amazing wall covering! Timber and Lace used paintable wallpaper to create this faux brick wall. Beautiful!

I absolutely love this table from Country Girl Home! Go check out how she made it! Amazing!

Happy Halloween & Dinner In A Pumpkin

Happy Halloween friends!

My little Rapunzel and my busy little bumble bee

What are you doing today? Do you have any Halloween traditions? We started our day with Jack -O-Lantern pancakes with special homemade syrup. Dinner on Halloween is big at our house! Every year since I was little we've had a family favorite recipe: Dinner In A Pumpkin. I'm hear to share it with you!

Dinner In A Pumpkin
Medium pumpkin cleaned out (save those seeds for homemade pumpkin seeds)
1 onion chopped
2 cans cream of chicken soup
3 cups of cooked rice
1 pound ground beef
2 Tablespoons oil
4 Tablespoons soy sauce
2 Tablespoons brown sugar

In skillet saute onions in oil until tender. Add ground beef, cook until done and drain if needed. Add the rest of the ingredients and simmer for 10 minutes. Put in pumpkin and place pumpkin top back on. Place pumpkin on a baking sheet or in a baking dish (if its in a baking dish add a little water so the dish won't burn). Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

I hope you enjoy it as much as my family does! Have a happy and safe Halloween!

Eyechart Canvas

A few months back I found an awesome FREE website to make custom eye charts. You type in the text you want and it creates it for you. So AWESOME right? At that time I was working with the other fabulous young women leaders in my ward on our young women in excellence program. I am a member of  The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and you can find out more about it here or by emailing me. I was in charge of the take home gift for the girls and our theme was "Become Something Extraordinary". As I was typing different text to fit perfectly on the eye chart I decided to enter in the theme and it fit perfectly! You seriously have no idea how excited I was! I have been so excited to share this with all of you!
  • To create your eye chart click here. Or use any photo print you want.
  • Print eye chart in desired size. We decided on 8x10 and printed them at Costco.
  • You'll also need a canvas, modge podge and foam brush.
  1. Cover your work area with a drop cloth, newspaper or whatever you have on hand.
  2. Cut photo to exact size of canvas. You will want the edge of the print to be flush with the edge of the canvas.
  3. Pour a generous amount of modge podge directly on canvas and use foam brush to spread and even layer on entire canvas being sure to go all the way to the edge. Brush the glue from the center towards the edge so you don't get globs of glue running over the edge of the canvas.

4. Press print on canvas firmly.

5. Set aside and let it completely dry.
6. Once the canvas is dry you will put another layer of modge podge over the print using a foam brush. Make sure to spread the glue using long even strokes going from top to bottom.

7. Let canvas dry completely.

Not here's the lame part...I totally forgot to take a pretty picture of the final outcome! Take my word for it they were super cute!

There's so many different options of things you could create using the eye chart maker. Don't you think it would be such a cute personalized baby gift? Or a personalized wedding gift? Here's a couple I came up with.

Now go create your own! Enjoy!

Hello friends! So it's not even winter yet and already my littlest one has had croup and a horrible, lots of boogies cold. Which for me equals sleep deprived. Also between her coughing in my face and breathing like Darth Vader while sleeping on me I couldn't avoid catching it. I'm feeling better now besides my extremely raspy voice. Reminds me of that episode of FRIENDS where Phoebe gets sick and has a sexy raspy singing voice except I'm not feeling sexy. :) Anyways I'm off to bed and hoping for a good nights sleep! Hope everyone is well and I can't wait to see what you've been up to this past week! Let's get to it!

{2 x 4} Mummies

Hello friends! I had to add just one more Halloween project for this year :) I've seen different versions of mummies this year and decided to make my own. I wanted to use what I already had so here's what I came up with.

Here's what you'll need:
  • Any scrap wood you have laying around. I used 2x4's left from when we tore down a wall in our kitchen last February.
  • Scrap fabric. This was left over from curtains in the nursery. I cut the strips about 1 1/2 inches thick and as long as I could.
  • Googly eyes
  • Hot glue and glue gun
  1. Wrap fabric vertically around wood and secure with a dab of glue at the end.
  2. Wrap fabric horizontally around wood. Tie strips of fabric together to create the bows and knots.
  3. Add googly eyes with hot glue.
And you're done! This project seriously took about 30 minutes from start to finish...and that's with kids doing projects at the same time...it was that easy! Enjoy!
