Lima Bean Wreath

Hello there! So I've been wanting a larger version of my small turquoise lima bean wreath (original idea came from here) I've had all these ideas floating around in my head for this one. I wanted this one to be more versatile so I chose to paint it Krylon Ivory. I can change the ribbon and add different embellishments to change it up for the different holidays. Enjoy!

Here's what you need
  • 12 inch styrofoam wreath - I picked mine up at Roberts and used a 40% off coupon so it ended up being around $3.75
  • baby lima beans - 1 16oz package
  • hot glue gun and glue sticks - had on hand, I used 15 small 4 inch glue sticks
  • Krylon Ivory glossy spray paint - had on hand
  • ribbon - had on hand
  • initial - I was going to make my own, but found this one at Hobby Lobby for just over $3.
Start by gluing around the edge of the wreath on the outside and inside circles. The beans have a flat edge so I glued those to line up with the edge of the wreath. You'll see this in the picture below. Do this also on the outside circle of the wreath.

Continue gluing beans to completely cover the wreath. For this wreath I really tried to not overlap any beans, but to make sure all beans lay completely flat. Turn on a good show or some music and keep gluing. Here's how mine turned out. Absolutely love it!

Wow! Adorable! This will be my next wreath for sure... and imagine the color possibilities! (Am I the only one who's dying for fall? I have my orange decor all ready to go!)

Did you decorate the initial or did it come from Hobby Lobby decorated? It really is an amazing touch.
